The Call

My heart skips a beat as your number appears on my screen
I'm in utter shock 
Disbelief 
Yet happy all the same
Finally, I can hear your voice instead of typing keys on a screen 
Pressing the green button,  I whisper a sensual hello
Your baritone sends chills down my spine
Lights a fire within me with just a simple hello 
We talk, our chemistry floating throught infinity
Reaching across distance and time 
I cherish each second I can hear your heart's melody.
Finally, hours later,  my breath and pulse return to their norm
I feel satiated, if but for the moment
